Chartered December 27, 1919, seven months after Kenyon's post, and named for Albert Quamme, who died of wounds from the Argonne front on October 10, 1918. The post counted 28 members at its centennial in 2020. Its Wanamingo Veterans Honor Guard, founded in 2009, had served more than 200 funerals by then, in Zumbrota, Mazeppa, Pine Island, Goodhue and Kenyon as well as at home.

For a Kenyon veteran
Wanamingo is the other half of the Kenyon-Wanamingo school district. Its honor guard presents the colors alongside Kenyon's at the K-W Veterans Day program in the high school gym and runs the afternoon program at the elementary school.
