For buildings in the C-1, C-2 and I-1 zoning districts. Eligible: exterior lighting and signage, doors and windows, awnings, removal of non-historic materials, ADA access, code corrections, painting and cleaning, tuck-pointing and roof repair. Not eligible: work already started, interiors, additions, acquisition. You must own the property or have the owner's written consent and be current on taxes, loans and utility payments. Funding is first come, first served.
What happens next. The EDA (fourth Tuesday, 8 a.m.) reviews the application. Approved projects are reimbursed after completion with photos and receipts; applications expire 12 months after approval.
